The Saint Barnabas Employee Assistance Program provides training for human resources staff and supervisors in the management of employees with job performance problems. The essential feature is the utilization of the EAP to provide consultation to management and to serve as a resource for the employee. Training includes an overview of EAP services, recognition and identification of job performance problems, the effective use of written documentation and the need for management to be cognizant of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
